Luxury self-contained basement of a large Victorian home in Rathmines. The requirements were to make it into a high-end and comfortable space for the family to enjoy, as well as being fully equipped so a family member could come and stay and have all amenities available to them. We carried out a full refurbishment including a small kitchenette, an under stairs wine cooler, utility area and powder room, as well as a number of bespoke cabinetry and furniture design. A stand-out feature is a huge sliding glass door off the lounge that mixes the family’s contemporary lifestyle with classic details. This contemporary feel is also carried through to the vibrant printed glass doors that hide the utility area. Finishing touches were provided through the use of statement light-fixtures, luxury soft furnishings and designer Italian brass ware throughout the entire project.
